Administrative support tailored to your business.

I've spent almost ten years at this point in various admin roles, supporting businesses of all sizes in all kinds of ways. It's the data (and the people) that keep me coming back, especially to small businesses and non-profits.

Administrative support can come in many different forms, from a few hours once a week to handle the tasks that don't fit on anyone else's plate to supporting a major project that's all hands on deck. I've done inventory and research for an antiques company; graphic design, social media, and PR for an entertainment company; mass data entry projects, data analysis, and error detection for public schools; and cohesive branding design and implementation for a restaurant.

If you need support in your business, I'd love to connect with you. I am available for in-person projects in Nevada, Placer, Yuba, and Sacramento Counties, California, or remotely across the United States.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is support structured?

First, we meet so I can better understand your needs. Once we establish a plan, which includes a schedule, support starts. While supporting, I generally use a time-tracking app to assist in accuracy. I also operate as an independent contractor, which means you don't have to deal with the headache of taxes or benefits.

I work within what you need. Some businesses just want me to drop in once a week, clear out what they've given me, and head off. Other people want me around for specific hours on a set schedule. Either is fine and entirely dependent on what you're looking for.

What is your availability?

I am currently available for businesses with regular support needs between roughly 2-10 hours per week. Typically this support occurs once or twice a week or bimonthly, though sometimes I support for multiple days at a specific time per month (i.e. for monthly closing).

I am also available to support larger, fixed-term projects up to roughly 25 hours per week. The structure of this support is dependent on the nature of project and the needs of the business.

How much do you charge?

For most regular administrative support tasks, I charge between $20-25 per hour. For photography, I charge $35 per hour, but this includes the time I spend editing.

Occassionally, I have space in my schedule for large urgent projects. I charge an extra $10 per hour in these situations, which I communicate in writing.

How long do you take to train?

I hesitate to ever use the term "fully trained" because I equate that with mastery, which takes considerable time. However, I have a demonstrated track record as a fast learner, and, historically, with active training, I have a good understanding of at least several of my core role responsibilities within 5-8 hours. Environments that don't offer active training generally take a few hours longer, but I am very pattern-oriented and can generally pick up on information very quickly.

Is there anything I should know about working with you?

Depending on the environment and my needs, I may sometimes utilize accommodations, such as noise-cancelling headphones or a mobility aid. As an independent contractor, these are my responsibility to supply, and I try to keep any disruption to a minimum.

Additionally, if I am engaged in computer work for an extended period, I will need to get up to stretch, move, drink water, etc. You are never billed for this time and I will discuss it with you to schedule accordingly (e.g. four billed hours of support may be scheduled as four and a half hours).
