Training on Trauma
I provide trainings on trauma-informed care, addiction, and homelessness to encourage empathy and compassion. This began out of my work as a trauma trainer in inpatient addiction care and has become a passion of mine.
See my training below for an example of my work.
Trauma-informed perspectives offer a dramatic shift in how we interact with others. From the angry stranger in the supermarket to your work colleague who's struggling, being trauma-informed allows us to show up with compassionate understanding.
This isn't just about the mental health field anymore. This is for everyone. When one in four people grow up in a home with substance abuse and one in five are sexually abused in childhood, we can no longer turn a blind eye.
I believe becoming trauma-informed and being able to apply that knowledge to our work as healthcare providers, parents, teachers, librarians, and more, provides everyone with more opportunities for understanding and connection.
Trauma-informed care is for everyone.
If you are interested in my trainings, please reach out to me directly for more information. I can provide custom trainings to your specific field.
